8/27/2008- Being eliminated from playoff contention apparently didn’t sit well with the Snappers’ offense, as they exploded for ten runs in their 10-1 victory Wednesday night. Starter Henry Reyes evened his record at 3-3, going seven innings and allowing just one run on five hits.

8/26/2008- Beloit and Kane County went to extra innings for the second consecutive night, this time with the Cougars coming out on top, 3-2. Charles Nolte picked up the loss for the Snaps, allowing the winning run in the top of the tenth inning.

| Kirwan Makes His Way Back to Beloit |
8/26/2008- Brian Kirwan will rejoin the Snappers tonight after spending the last month and a half on the disabled list with a right shoulder/elbow injury. Kirwan will be in uniform in time for tonight’s game, as the Snappers take on the Kane County Cougars in game two of a four-game set at 7:00pm.

| Anderson Has Appendix Removed; Placed on DL |
8/25/2008- During the Snappers’ last road trip reliever Chris Anderson had to have an emergency appendectomy on Friday night. The procedure, that removed the left-hander’s appendix, will sideline him for the remainder of the season.
